Thanksgiving Thanks

Two days ago was my birthday and it’s always a time that I reflect on my life and how thankful I am with what I’ve been given, who has come into my life, who I’ve become and where I envision myself in the future. Here’s what came to mind…

I am SO fortunate to have such a loving husband and daughter who make me feel beautiful and appreciated every day of my life. I love the little songs that Lily sings to me and the thoughtful things that my husband does for me. It is so much appreciated and more than I ever thought I’d have. As my husband and I ate our French food and sipped wine next to the fireplace at Cafe Provencal on my birthday, I looked into his eyes and felt so grateful that I get to look into those eyes for the rest of our lives together. I’m excited to grow old with him. I know we have many adventures ahead of us and I’m excited for it all – the good and the bad. I know that I can get through anything with him by my side. As Lily sang me Happy Birthday, I tried to memorize that lil’ delicate voice of hers as I know it’ll change over time and I will always cherish these simple moments that mean more to me than anything money can buy. She’s becoming a lil’ lady and it’s so neat to see Michael and me in her. I’m SO grateful to have a daughter and to have the privilege to be a mom. It’s not something I take lightly.

Another family that I have now consists of all my clients. I’ve been so blessed to have a business in something that I’m so passionate about and I’m grateful for the clients that have come into my life. Each of you have enriched my life and it’s an honor to capture those cherished moments for you and your families. I’m excited to see where life takes each of you and I’m thankful to be welcomed into your lives at those special milestones. I have so many plans and goals for Yvonne Niemann Photography and I know that with a lot of hard work and dedication, my dreams can become reality.

I’m of course thankful for having a roof over my head, meals that fill my belly, my friends who have been there through thick and thin, my health, extended family, those who support me and help me with things pertaining to life, business, health, faith and even love.

I have much to be thankful for today. May I never forget or take it for granted.

One of my favorite locations is almost ready for pretty cherry tree blossom sessions! Every year is a little different - sometime the blooms are pink and other years they are the palest of pink. Lighting is perfect, lots of trees to give dimension and plenty of room to explore, cuddle and move.

If you would like to take advantage of what Spring brings us every year, contact me as soon as possible. Once these trees bloom, they don`t last long.

Timing is everything when it comes to beach portrait sessions.

There’s a reason I plan my sessions for the edges of the day. Right before sunrise and just before sunset, the sun sits low on the horizon, wrapping everything in soft, golden light. It’s flattering, gentle on skin tones, and creates that dreamy glow you simply can’t replicate at noon. The wind calms, the beach feels peaceful, and the magic naturally unfolds.

This sweet mother-daughter moment was captured on Jekyll Island at Driftwood Beach just as the sun was rising — when the sky turns pastel and the reflections shimmer along the shoreline.

When you trust the light, you get images that feel timeless, effortless, and full of heart.
