Baby’s First Birthday Photos in the Summer

This lil’ man is celebrating his first birthday and his parents documented the big milestone with a sweet baby photography session. Mr. O is the happiest baby. Laughs all the time and has a contagious smile. Quite remarkable. I have never been around a baby that laughs so much. Lucky parents! Their portrait session was scheduled to take place in the morning, but rain hindered our plans. Luckily the forecast cooperated in the evening, which resulted in beautiful and sweet sunset images for this family. The grass and Queen Anne’s Lace had even dried off in time! The summer heat didn’t seem to affect this lil’ man at all. He just kept on laughing and had fun exploring his surroundings. Congratulations baby O on your first birthday! Such an honor to photograph you again. You sure have grown since your newborn portraits.

Love this area of the historic district of Jekyll Island. Pretty walkways, roads, buildings, trees and scenery. It is like taking a step back in time in many ways. I have been photographing my daughter in this exact location for the last few summers and it never disappoints.
