Augusta Family Portrait Photographer | Orchard Fun!

A few months back, fellow photographer, Kristi Hollowell, contacted me about photographing her family. She said that she is used to urban settings for her family’s portraits, but she was up for something different this time around. Since it is September and nearing towards the end of apple season, I thought an apple orchard fit the bill for their customized portrait session. Since Kristi’s family consists of four kiddos, we wanted to stick a bit close to their home so that everyone was in the best of moods when they arrived. Centennial Farms was the perfect location! There were still some apples on the trees and the orchards are beautifully groomed by it’s owners. If you haven’t been to Centennial Farms, you should check them out. You can pick your own apples, buy some honey & preserves that are produced right there on the premises, pick out the perfect pumpkin for the upcoming holidays and enjoy a nice scenic ride out to the farm. They have other fall festivities coming up soon that would be great for the whole family. In the meantime, enjoy’s Kristi’s sneak peek!

At sessions, I always encourage incorporating the things your children love most into your portraits. These details may feel small now, but they become part of their story - their season, their wonder, their childhood. The result? Images that feel personal, meaningful, and timeless.

Our sweet Bella girl is growing up so beautifully. The last time I introduced her here, she was still such a tiny puppy. Now, at a little over a year old, she is still very much our baby, just a bit bigger. Her "feathers” have come in and her hair has grown beautifully. Bella is the most cuddly, playful, loving dog, and she has completely stolen our hearts. Love her to pieces.

It hardly seems possible that nearly a year has passed since my daughter was preparing for her high school graduation, and now she is finishing her first year of college. Watching her step so gracefully into this new season has been such a gift. I am deeply proud of the way she has stayed true to who she is, found her people and community at GCSU, poured into others as a gymnastics coach, and continues to build a life that reflects her dreams.
