So happy to see Spring in its full beauty here in Athens, GA once again! It is my absolute favorite time of year in the South!!!!! I photographed this lil’ beauty this morning for her Spring child portraits surrounded by the blossoming cherry trees on UGAs campus. She is modeling a dress from Tutu Du Monde in size 2-3T, which is available for clients of Yvonne Niemann Photography to borrow for their portrait sessions with me. Love the peachy/pink color of this dress, the delicate tulle and the details of sequins and beads. Perfect for images like the one shown above.

Lil’ Miss AK is such a delight to photograph. I have been taking her portraits for a couple of years now. I cannot get over how much she has grown. When I first met her, she couldn’t even walk yet and now she is such a little lady with the best smile and a wonderful personality. I love how much she adores her parents and I KNOW she is going to be a great big sister later this year when the newest addition arrives.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
