This infant photoshoot was so much fun. They had recently brought their baby girl home and the love and joy was in the air. Baby brother LOVES his sister and was quite protective of her. Lots of hugs and snuggles with her, but didn’t want me getting too close to the new baby, which is quite understandable. Aren’t they just adorable?

This baby girl was such a good sleeper. She didn’t fuss much at all and pretty much slept the entire time I was at their family home. She has the most perfect round face and heart shaped lips. Love all her delicate baby features along with all that beautiful dark hair, just like mom.

Mom did a fabulous job decorating her baby girl’s nursery. Love all the details she picked out to make it all come together. Just like something out of a magazine! Pink, gold, gray and white color palette. Just perfection! I am sure that baby S and her family will have very fond memories in this room throughout the years. Who wouldn’t want to hang out here?!

When I pulled up I had noticed the field across the street from their home and knew that we could use it for the outdoor images that this family had requested. The sun streaming through the trees gave a beautiful glow and the weather was just perfect. Made for a stunning backdrop for their first family portraits.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
