Athens, GA Family Newborn Pictures At Home

I love doing family newborn pictures in the comfort of my clients’ homes. Everyone seems to be relaxed in their element and are able to tend to things as needed. This family’s portrait session was such a joy! I have had the honor to photograph them through the years and so it was such a blessing to document this time in their lives as they became a family of four. Mom always does such a great job dressing everyone for their portraits and this was no different. The blue and white palette is such a classic and works great with their style.

Big sister absolutely adores her baby brother! You can really tell how proud she is in the pictures above. Such a sweet thing to witness.

I love that mom chose this beautiful white infant outfit for her baby boy. Such a classic! Neutral swaddles and clothing really keeps the focus on the baby while adding to the purity and freshness of newborns.

In their stairwell, there was such beautiful clean light coming through the window, which made for a wonderful area for a few more family portraits. You can just feel the love and excitement from everyone in these images. A new member to the family is such a special time. So many dreams in the making and memories that will last forever.

There’s a reason I plan my sessions for the edges of the day. Right before sunrise and just before sunset, the sun sits low on the horizon, wrapping everything in soft, golden light. It’s flattering, gentle on skin tones, and creates that dreamy glow you simply can’t replicate at noon. The wind calms, the beach feels peaceful, and the magic naturally unfolds.

This sweet mother-daughter moment was captured on Jekyll Island at Driftwood Beach just as the sun was rising — when the sky turns pastel and the reflections shimmer along the shoreline.

When you trust the light, you get images that feel timeless, effortless, and full of heart.
