Baby's Christmas portrait in Athens, GA.

Yesterday I photographed this beautiful baby girl for her first birthday portraits at her family home in Athens, GA. She is one of the happiest babies I have met. Always smiling and laughing. Love how she claps her hands and dances with delight. Such a sweet heart who is so loved. This is the fourth time I have photographed her and it has been such an honor to watch her grow and go through all the important milestones through her first year of life. She has changed so much in the short amount of time I have known her. She is talking up a storm now and is on the move! She is super fast, but she will stay put when sitting in a chair. Love how she climbs all over her mom when they hang out. I also love how she laughs with her dad when playing. They actually share a lot of the same facial expressions. So adorable! Happy birthday lil’ lady! Cannot wait to see you again in the near future and to see you as you grow.

Love this area of the historic district of Jekyll Island. Pretty walkways, roads, buildings, trees and scenery. It is like taking a step back in time in many ways. I have been photographing my daughter in this exact location for the last few summers and it never disappoints.

What a beautiful way to spend part of summer break - studying, writing papers and taking quizzes while tucked away on Jekyll Island. Not a bad “classroom” at all.

She is heading into her sophomore year at GCSU, and this portrait felt like the perfect way to mark the season - relaxed, confident and surrounded by the timeless beauty of Jekyll Island’s historic district, with live oaks and Spanish moss framing the moment.
