Watkinsville, GA Fall Sibling Photoshoot

It’s Fall y’all! These two little beauties were a joy to document during their sibling photoshoot. I pass by this field daily and I have been itching to photograph in it. Last night was the night! Isn’t it just the perfect Fall field? Worked perfectly with these two gals.

I just love the personalities of these two young ladies. They had a lot of ideas of things to do and how to pose during their sibling photoshoot. They all worked out splendidly and will be included in their final gallery. Such creative minds. They had just come back from the beach, so oldest sister mentioned how she was in a bad mood when they arrived, but she quickly got out of that mindset and was all smiles and energy! Little sister danced to the music I brought. Nothing like some KIDZ BOP to get you going! She had the cutest moves and I just loved her dimples and freckles.

Mom did a great job with their outfits for their sibling photoshoot. The dresses are such classics and the matching bows were a nice touch. I love the boots for this field. Very fitting for the surroundings and season. I think the Fall colors of the flowers/weeds in the field really worked nicely with their outfits too. Great example of what to wear for your child’s portrait session. I will share images of the whole family from this session in the future. Mom really did well coordinating everyone for their portraits.

I have always been inspired by nature and it will always be something I love to photograph. I think it shows in my work with my portrait sessions too. I love finding locations that have elements of nature I adore. Magical lighting. layers of foliage, pretty flowers, pathways, tunnels of trees, boulders, various water elements and all the little details in between.

Looking forward to Spring and all that it brings. Since moving to Georgia, it is my absolute favorite season. What`s your favorite?

As things are warming up, nature is coming alive. You can see hints of it with grass greening up, tiny buds on trees and certain flowers showing off their beauty already. That also means that cherry blossoms will be flowering in the near future too!

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.
