Watkinsville, GA Fall Sibling Photoshoot

It’s Fall y’all! These two little beauties were a joy to document during their sibling photoshoot. I pass by this field daily and I have been itching to photograph in it. Last night was the night! Isn’t it just the perfect Fall field? Worked perfectly with these two gals.

I just love the personalities of these two young ladies. They had a lot of ideas of things to do and how to pose during their sibling photoshoot. They all worked out splendidly and will be included in their final gallery. Such creative minds. They had just come back from the beach, so oldest sister mentioned how she was in a bad mood when they arrived, but she quickly got out of that mindset and was all smiles and energy! Little sister danced to the music I brought. Nothing like some KIDZ BOP to get you going! She had the cutest moves and I just loved her dimples and freckles.

Mom did a great job with their outfits for their sibling photoshoot. The dresses are such classics and the matching bows were a nice touch. I love the boots for this field. Very fitting for the surroundings and season. I think the Fall colors of the flowers/weeds in the field really worked nicely with their outfits too. Great example of what to wear for your child’s portrait session. I will share images of the whole family from this session in the future. Mom really did well coordinating everyone for their portraits.

Jekyll Island was divine this year during my time there for portrait sessions. Weather was perfect. No worries about scheduling around rain this time and the ocean`s tides were even cooperative for those beach sessions. Wind was only super strong on one evening, but a quick change of location and we were just fine. Yes. These are all things I worry about as a photographer at beaches. So many elements to think about and to pull together. Happy dances all around when things all come together and work in our favor!!!

I remember seeing Spanish moss for the first time when we first moved to Georgia. We vacationed in Savannah and I saw the beautiful moss hanging delicately from the live oak trees in a romantic, yet hauntingly way. At that time, I didn`t know chiggers liked to reside in the Spanish moss and got some bites, but lesson learned.... Every time I come across the beautiful trees cascading with the moss, I somehow feel comfort and a feeling of home. I suppose I was meant to live in the south. So, out of curiosity, are there surprising things that make you feel at home? A warmth in the heart? Sometimes the mundane can make you feel and alive and speak to you in ways that surprise you.

Dreaming of some beach and island time!!! St. Thomas and St. John Islands made for a dream trip with my family. Water is so blue/clear, the foliage is rich and varied, food was excellent, lots of beaches to choose from, great snorkeling, fun ferry ride between islands, friendly people and places to wander and explore.
