I recently traveled to St. Louis for portrait sessions and had he honor to document these two during their Summer kid photography session at Forest Park. I have been photographing this family since their eldest was still in his mom’s belly at her maternity session. My, how things have changed!
Just look at these two. Aren’t they just the sweetest?! You can really tell how much these brothers enjoy each other and how they look out for each other. What fun they have!!! They loved the location where they got to explore, run and play. The weather was quite pleasant, which was a nice surprise giving the Summer heat and humidity that usually accompanies the St. Louis area during the Summer.
The location you see here was just perfect, although it was a last minute change due to road closures. The detours luckily took me to this area of the park and I knew it would photograph nicely. Loved the sun coming through a big tree in the background, the lush green native grass and tiny flowers scattered throughout. There were even pathways and areas for the kids to play. Parking was super easy here too, which is always a bonus with little ones. This family picked an early morning time slot for their kid photography session as that is when the youngest is the happiest, but also when the weather is cooler. Always great things to think about when choosing a time for portraits.
