As a family photographer, I just adore capturing families with my camera in all seasons of life. Spring is especially a favorite of mine. I love all the soft colors, the blossoming trees, flowers, fresh green grass and leaves, and all that beauty Mother Nature gifts us during that time of year.
The images shown here were taken in St. Louis in the Spring. It was storming, so we moved indoors, which worked out perfectly. Gave us a dry place to take cover, but also allowed all of the season’s beauty to surround us for their backdrop.
I have been photographing this family since their son was born and it is always such a privilege to photograph them as their family grows and for important milestones. This brother sister duo are a dream. They absolutely adore each other and if you ever need a smile from baby sister, just have big brother enter and she is all smiles. He knows exactly how to get her to laugh, which is equally contagious to everyone around her.
Love how this family interacts with each other. They sure know how to have a good time and how to go with the flow. They make every day fun and an adventure. Brother and sister sure are loved!!! I am so excited to watch them grow and see their bond get tighter throughout the years.
I have to mention the family’s wardrobe! When we met up I just fell in love with their outfits. Perfection! Great color palette for a Spring family session. I also love the textures in mom and daughter’s outfits. The men of the family coordinate wonderfully to the gals and everything just works out seamlessly. No matter what the grouping are for their portraits, the outfits work well, but still keeps the focus on the most important thing – the people! Great example of what to wear for your Spring family portraits.
