Six Week Old Lifestyle Newborn Baby Photos With Family

I absolutely adore this family and it was such an honor to photograph their lifestyle newborn baby photos when their baby boy was six weeks old. I have been photographing this family when their first son was a few months old and so it is extra special to document this time when they grow into a family of four!!!!

They opted for a lifestyle newborn session at their home where everyone could be comfortable and they could show off the new nursery. I am so happy with how things turned out. Such a loving and fun family. Big brother loves his baby brother so much and loves to cuddle, kiss and protect him. Such a wonderful big brother!

Mom spent a lot of time in putting together the perfect nursery for her baby boy and it was a pleasure to be able to photograph in there to show off all her hard work. Isn’t it just perfect for a Southern baby boy?! I love how it will transition easily for when this little man grows too. The shades of blue, white, red and tan is pure perfection! What little boy wouldn’t love this? Peaceful place for mom and dad too.

This last image became their baby announcement. Great way to introduce their newborn! The heirloom outfit and simple white bed linens really keeps things timeless, while allowing focus to be on this handsome six week old!

Mom always does such a fabulous job with outfits for their family portraits and this was no exception. I love how she coordinated everyone. The color palette was perfect for a newborn baby’s photos, but also coordinated with the interior of their home, which is where the images will be displayed. The blue gingham, white, cream and tan was a wonderful choice. Mom even thought of her accessories and used items that worked well with the boys’ outfits, but also were sentimental to her. Lots of meaning in these final portraits.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
