Oconee County, GA Studio Newborn Baby Shoot | One Month

This precious one month old came in today for her newborn baby shoot in my home studio in Oconee County. Doesn’t she look like a doll?! Simply beautiful.

She entered the world a few weeks early and had to spend her first six days in the NICU until she was ready to go home and join her family. I know that everyone is so happy to have her with them safe and sound. She has an older brother and an older sister, whom I know will guide her through life with much adventure and fun. How nice to have siblings to grow up with!

This little angel loves being swaddled, but was quite the escape artist this morning, so I just allowed her to do her thing. That freedom resulted in a beautiful and pure image showcasing how she sleeps at this stage of her life. Mom mentioned that she sleeps with her hands by her head like this quite often, so it isn’t too much of a surprise that she wanted out of that swaddle so badly. It’s all about comfort!

Such an honor to meet lil’ Miss R along with her brother and mom today. I look forward to seeing how the kiddos grow through the years and to meet the rest of the family in the near future. Congrats! Your baby girl is a treasure.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
