This natural beauty is my lovely daughter who is a dreamer, romantic, goofball, thoughtful and kind soul all in one. My tween wanted some updated headshots to use for her Valentine’s this year. This beautiful dress, from Tutu Du Monde, had just come in on this particular day and she squealed with delight as she grabbed it and ran up the stairs to put herself together for her little photo shoot with me. I love how her portraits turned out, but most importantly, she loves them and said that they are a good reflection of who she is. She is super excited to hand out her Valentine’s this year to her classmates and I am happy to have some updated images of her to put on my walls. Win, win.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
