Motherhood is a glorious life force. It truly is a fulfilling job. Images like this show the powerful love and bonds between a mother and her children. There is such warmth and comfort coming from this portrait that just speaks to me. I had the honor to photograph these beautiful people a couple days ago in San Diego. It is always a special treat to capture this family through my camera. I haven been photographing them since their youngest was still in mommy’s belly and they were only a family of four. Every year I am amazed with how much everyone has grown and changed. All three children are super sweet and have the best manners. Mom and dad have done such a great job raising their lil’ ones. I love how they cuddle together and how they interact. Such strong connections and love between all family members. Their lives are one big adventure and they are so lucky to go through it together!

I really have to mention their amazing outfit selection here! Mom did SUCH a great job. Love all the neutral soft tones and texture. Such a classy, elegant and timeless way to dress for portraits that will stand the test of time. When we had discussed location wants/needs and what to wear for their portraits, she had mentioned that since they move quite a bit and not sure how they will decorate from one house to another, she wanted to stick to neutrals. They currently decorate with a lot of neutrals and have a light and airy feel in not only their home, but their lives, so this was perfect and will remain perfect for a lifetime. All important things to think about when choosing not only your wardrobe, but your portrait location as well.

What do you do when you want your furry family member in at least one family picture, but the location does not allow pets? You follow the rules and take portraits in the park and then at the end, you get a few images in the parking lot. The light was gorgeous coming through the trees here and their pup seemed to be so happy to be included!

Now, there are a lot of locations that allow pets, but if your heart is set on a place where they are not permitted, we can always find an option either at the beginning or the end of the session where we can document your important family member too!

Mom always does such a great job dressing her family and last night was no exception. One little sentimental touch - little brother is wearing the same sweater his big brother wore at their last photo session. Love how he fits into now and how it all comes full circle!

Fall in Athens can be absolutely magical!

These sweet sisters had the prettiest November portrait session at Founder`s Garden on UGA`s campus. The vibrant fall foliage was the perfect backdrop, while their soft pinks, delicate florals and cozy layers complemented the scenery beautifully.

Late October and early November are some of my favorite times for fall family photos in Athens, GA. Gorgeous colors, comfortable temperatures and beautiful memories to treasure for years to come.
