Lady in Red | St. Louis Child Photography

It’s been a rainy and HOT summer here in St. Louis! All of us in the Niemann household have been trying our hardest to keep cool and when I saw this pretty parasol, I thought it’d be very fitting for keeping dry on wet days while providing some much needed shade on those hot and sunny days. My daughter and I just love pretty things and what’s prettier than a fun red parasol?! The bonus…it photographs well too! Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
