Grandmother’s Love

A grandmother’s love is like no other. Such an honor to photograph this pretty lady with her very first grandchild. He is a mere six weeks old and so laid back and content. I absolutely adore the bonds these two have built already. So sweet to witness and capture with my camera. Almost a year ago I was supposed to photograph this mom with her daughters and their husbands, but when she found out one of her daughter’s was expecting a child, we held off so that the lil’ man could be included in the family portraits. Such a great decision that I know they won’t regret. This lil’ man will be spoiled quite a bit from his grandmother and I know they have a lot of fun in store throughout the years. It was a great honor to create these images for this family. Congrats!

When the weather is not the most pleasant inside, consider an indoor session. This lil’ beauty came into the studio for her first birthday portraits. Celebration with balloons and warmth!

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.
