Fresh Georgia Peaches

pictures of just picked Georgia peaches.

There is nothing like freshly picked Georgia peaches. I stop for these ripe beauties at least once a week while they are in season at either the orchard close to me or at one of the main roadside vendors in the area. Yesterday, I visited Thomas Orchards and Nursery down the road from my house and bought a small basket of fruit to last me a few days. When I got them home, I decided to photograph their beauty. Enjoy!

I enjoy eating fresh peaches alone, cut up and served with cream, in homemade ice-cream, as a pie or as a Bellini. All simple recipes, perfect for any day of the Summer. Try out a Bellini today. Recipe below.

Bellini

2 ripe peaches, peeled and diced

1 bottle very cold Presecco

*  Process the peach pulp to form a puree. Pass through a sieve. In flute, add 1 part puree and 2 parts Prosecco. Serve immediately.

We sure have some pretty buildings around here. This is a noticeable landmark in Madison, GA on the square. Love walking around this historic town - exploring the shops, dining in their restaurants and enjoying some French pastries. Lots of local gems.

Three weeks until graduation!!!!!! Lots of senior activities happening for OCHS graduates. My daughter attended her last DECA competition event (ICDC) in Orlando - having fun with her marketing friends at Universal Studio and Disney Land. She finished her dual enrollment classes at UNG, which leaves her with her two classes at the high school. Luckily she gets to opt out of both of those finals! Senior breakfast was yesterday, today is the senior picnic and lots of other fun activities heading her way over the next few weeks leading up to graduation. You can just feel the excitement in the air.

If you are expecting and wondering when to schedule your maternity photo session, I recommend 31-34 weeks of pregnancy or when your belly goes past your bust-line.

This is a great time as it is obvious that you are pregnant so you can show off your beautiful curves. It is also a time when you are still fairly comfortable and therefore are able to move more freely. Of course, this is just a guideline. Every woman is different in her pregnancy journey. If you aren`t showing much during these weeks, just hold off until your belly has popped out a bit more. This is why I mention waiting until your belly goes past your bust-line.

This is such a wonderful time in a woman`s life and worth documenting. Your finished photographic artwork will mean more to you as the years go by and your children will love looking at these portraits as they grow up. What an amazing gift to be able to see your mom carrying you with so much love, excitement and anticipation!
