Family Portraits | Coeur d’Alene Photographers

I recently traveled to Coeur d’Alene for commissioned family portraits of this sweet sweet family. It was such a special treat being able to photograph these six. The last time I documented them was when their youngest was first born for her newborn portraits. As we were talking, we realized that I have been photographing their family big milestones for eight years now. Such an honor! That very first session, mom was pregnant and they were just a family of four. Boy have things changed in those years!!!! They have moved several times, have four children, changed careers, just to name a few.

We chose to do their session where their future home will be. The entire area is just stunning and I love how sentimental these images are now, but will be even more in the future. Their family is now complete and they are building a legacy right in this spot for their children and themselves. Such a special time for all of them! Looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for them and being able to document it through my camera.

I have always been inspired by nature and it will always be something I love to photograph. I think it shows in my work with my portrait sessions too. I love finding locations that have elements of nature I adore. Magical lighting. layers of foliage, pretty flowers, pathways, tunnels of trees, boulders, various water elements and all the little details in between.

Looking forward to Spring and all that it brings. Since moving to Georgia, it is my absolute favorite season. What`s your favorite?

As things are warming up, nature is coming alive. You can see hints of it with grass greening up, tiny buds on trees and certain flowers showing off their beauty already. That also means that cherry blossoms will be flowering in the near future too!

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.
