Fall Family Photography At Home In Athens, GA

It was great photographing this beautiful family last night at their home in Athens, GA. Their property is stunning and one of the first things you see when driving up to their home is their fantastic treelined driveway. Perfect place for Fall family photography!

Mom did a great job putting together their family wardrobe. Love how well they coordinate with each other and even have special sentimental items included. Mom’s boots were her wedding boots! They were custom made for their wedding and have a lot of special meaningful items on the boots that I am sure brings a smile to her face every time she wears them. Love that she included her boots for their family portraits.

It had rained all week long and yesterday we finally got a beautiful sunny day that was dry! Things dried out just enough to make things enjoyable and not messy for their portraits. It was warmer than what it has been, which was a nice bonus as well. This little man really loved being with his dad and insisted that his dad was in most images with him. Love that! Baby sister is a super happy baby who is quite content in her parents’ arms. As the sun began setting, she decided that she was done with images, which I don’t blame her as it started cooling down. She still smiled quite a bit and allowed for some adorable portraits. You can really tell that these four really enjoy their time together and have a ton of fun on their farm with all their beautiful animals. I bet they really enjoy strolling their property and taking in the beautiful views they have.

I have always been inspired by nature and it will always be something I love to photograph. I think it shows in my work with my portrait sessions too. I love finding locations that have elements of nature I adore. Magical lighting. layers of foliage, pretty flowers, pathways, tunnels of trees, boulders, various water elements and all the little details in between.

Looking forward to Spring and all that it brings. Since moving to Georgia, it is my absolute favorite season. What`s your favorite?

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.
