This Fall family photo session was such a joy for me to capture through my camera. I have been photographing these three since they first brought their son home as a newborn. What an honor to be welcomed into their family every year for a moment to document their family dynamic and the growth of their son.
Mr. R has a love for trains and so he brought his favorite red toy train with him, which I think adds to the portraits as it shows who he is at this moment of time. It also helped coax him into having his portrait taken at times when he really wasn’t in the mood. Sometimes a beloved toy is all it takes to bring some comfort to a little one.
I love how this family interacts together. Lots of fun and adventure with these three. They are creating such special memories that they will look back at fondly as the years pass. As R grows up, he will remember the playfulness of his dad, the sweet cuddles from his mom and how they ALL laughed a lot. What a great childhood.
Mom did a great job picking out outfits for their fall family photo session. I love how well they coordinate, but aren’t matchy matchy. Their wardrobe of a color palette of gray, brown and blue works really well together and for their surroundings and for the season. The layers and patterns brings interest, while not being distracting at all. The focus is on the most important thing, which is the subjects and the connections between family members. Great example of what to wear for a fall family photo session!
