Children outdoor portraits of two brothers playing the woods of Oconee County, Georgia in the Fall.

These brothers were so much fun to photograph with their family last night in Oconee County. Outdoor children portraits are my favorite where there is opportunities to explore and be surrounded by all that Mother Nature has to offer. These brothers spend a lot of time outside on their family’s property, which made it for the perfect location for their photos. I love the imagination on these two boys and how much they really love each other. They truly enjoy being together. We got to play a lot of games and the boys even got to dress up later in the session in some fun Native American headdresses that really brought out their characters and playful sides. So fun! Can’t wait to share more. In the meantime enjoy this adorably fun image of these brothers playing together in their woods.

Mom did a fabulous job picking out the family’s wardrobe. I love how well everyone coordinated without being too matchy matchy. The color combination of gray, navy and tan is a fantastic choice. Great use of layers and textures too! Great example of what to wear for Fall portraits.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
