I photographed this young lady in a field of Fall wild flowers and grasses. Her beauty just shines through here. I had photographed her sister’s senior portraits this summer and her parents wanted some similar images of their eldest daughter to be displayed alongside their youngest daughter’s photographic artwork. This location was perfect for Miss K. The colors of Mother Nature really complemented her outfits, her personality and classic natural beauty. I am not sure how she felt inside, but she seemed very comfortable in front of the camera and was super easy going. Love that she brought her dog with her too as our furry friends are a big part of our lives and family dynamic. Can’t wait to share some of those images too. Precious!

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
