Baby lifestyle photography is a wonderful way to document your baby’s milestones while giving a glimpse into your every day family life. This little six month old baby boy was such a joy to photograph. Such a delightful personality that really shines. He had just reached his sitting milestone and even though he wasn’t always super steady, he stayed up long enough for us to get some adorable portraits of his big accomplishment. You can tell that he was in awe of his new views and really took everything in. Of course, we had to capture some other key milestones – great neck strength with tummy time, smiling and grabbing the toes! Isn’t he just adorable?!
I absolutely adore motherhood portraits and encourage images of parents with their children in portrait sessions with me. I love the following images of Mr. W with his mom during their baby lifestyle photography session at their home in Athens, GA. You can feel the love, joy and special bond between these two. The little man was starting to get tired, but I noticed that whenever his mom flew him in the air he would be all smiles, so I took advantage of that to get these sweet images of mother and child.
This is a great example of what to wear for baby lifestyle photography sessions. The neutral colors throughout their room and in their wardrobe selection really keeps the focus on this sweet six month old and the connection between mom and son. The eye goes straight to the most important part of the images – baby and mom. Mom’s light grey cowl neck sweater and gray pants complement baby’s outfit and the all white room naturally. If you are looking to do a baby lifestyle photography session, you may consider switching out your bed linens to white, cream or light grey to help keep the focus on your sweet baby. If you choose go with other colors and patterns, just make sure things aren’t too distracting and that your wardrobe stays simple and coordinates with your bed linens.
