These five came to my outdoor Oconee County studio for some fun family portraits not long ago! It was a humid Summer morning, but the heat hadn’t completely taken over yet since it was still early in the day. They all came over right before heading off to work and childcare. They brought along their beloved doggies. LOVE it when furry family members are included in family photos. Many times they are our “starter children” and our bonds with them are just as strong as our human companions.
This little cutie was celebrating her first birthday and was so much fun to photograph! She has such a sweet and inquisitive personality. Her dad arrived with the dogs when we were about half way through the session and she was really was excited when she saw them. Lots of squealing and motions from her as she saw them come down the hill towards us. She likes to take the dogs for walks and so I made sure we got an image of her with her favorite friend doing just that. Such patient and gentle dogs who really understand the dynamic between them and their tiny sibling.
This family was in the process of moving to Colorado when I did their fun family portraits, which is why they chose to have their session surrounded by the Georgia pine trees. I know they will be missed here in Athens, GA, but I also know that they will build a beautiful life among the mountains. Such a sweet and loving family.
