I had the opportunity to photograph this family recently when I was in St. Louis for commissioned portraits. I have been photographing them since their eldest was still in mom’s belly. Boy have times changed! I had just photographed them this past Fall and I could not get over how much both boys have grown in that short time, but especially the oldest brother.
The boys had baseball games in the morning of their family professional photography session, so they were a bit wiped out that afternoon. Mom was smart though and let them rest and then we did their session across the street from their house at a beautiful park with this waterfall. This location was perfect in terms of lighting and backdrop, but it was also a great place for the boys to play and explore too. It is a place they are familiar with, which helped with their comfort as well. Gives a lot of meaning to the final photographic artwork too.
