Family portraits are always a great idea, but when scheduling them around a special event where you know everyone will be in town is even better! This family chose to do their portraits in the Spring the day after their son’s prom. We were actually going to do the session on the same night as prom, but it rained, so we did it the next morning when everyone was still around. This gave an opportunity for the girlfriends to join in on the session too.
Love it when family portraits include the furry members too. They are truly a big part of the family, so it is a great idea to document them in portraiture too.
This family did a great job coordinating with each other, which I know isn’t always easy with larger families. The pastels were perfect for this time of year and the pretty greens that glowed from the early sun. Great example of what to wear for family portraits!
