I recently traveled to St. Louis for fall portrait sessions and these four were the first ones on the calendar. I think it is important as ever to have photography for family love documented. These have been some stressful times for many families and it is a great reminder through photographic artwork to see how strong bonds can carry us through anything. Can you imagine passing this image on your wall and instantly feel the warmth of your family’s love? I know when I see images of my own family in my home, it gives me much happiness and calm. I can only hope that same feeling for you!
We picked this particular location for all the variety in one place, privacy, the beauty and that wonderful light as the sun sets. Isn’t it just perfect?
This pose came very organically and it is one of my favorites!!!!! Mom was cuddling with her eldest son and her youngest ran in to join them. We got a few images of mom with her sons and then I added dad in for family images. I love how connected they all are and how cuddly it all is! Just lovely.
I have to say, mom did a great job with wardrobe as usual. It ended up being a bit warmer than expected on the day of their session, so mom scrambled to change things up for everyone’s comfort. I love how her sage green dress works with the natural surroundings an how her three boys’ outfits compliment each other without it being too matchy matchy. Notice how dad’s shirt even has the same shade of green in the plaid pattern? That is what makes it work so well. Great example of what to wear for fall family photos this year!
