Dogwood trees are in full bloom here in Georgia and I couldn’t be happier! I had lived in St. Louis for 16 years where the State tree is the flowering dogwood, but I see way more of these beautiful specimens here the Athens, GA area. They are everywhere I look. Dogwood trees are found wild in the woods and planted beautifully in yards and they line many streets. Absolutely breathtaking. I never had flowering trees in my yard in Missouri, but I counted 12 dogwood trees in my backyard woods yesterday. Such a wonderful thing to be surrounded by. I look forward to many years of enjoyment of these Spring blossoms.
