Today is my daughter`s last home game of her high school career. It is bittersweet for sure. I remember when she decided to try out and the excitement of making both sideline and courtside squads. To see it coming to a close is very surreal. Don`t blink. It really goes by so fast. Very excited for her as she gets closer to starting her next chapter in this crazy journey of life.

One thing I love about this time of year is being able to slow down a bit and dream up what I want my year to look like. I strongly believe that what you put out in the universe comes back to you. So, I try my hardest to focus on the good things and the things that I want to come to fruition. It doesn`t always work out exactly how I dream it, but that is just a part of life. I try to learn from things that don`t go well and make changes for the positive in the future. I also know that many things are out of my hands, but I work on things I can control and how I react. So, I try my hardest to focus on the good things and the things that I want to come to fruition. It doesn't always work out exactly how I dream it, but that is just a part of life. If you are wanting to do a session in your home, but are worried that the light isn`t good, don`t worry. I got you!

When I do sessions on location, I always bring lights with me just in case I need them. Sometimes rooms are dark due to weather, lots of shade from trees, lack of windows or needing to keep window covering in place. This is why I come prepared to light up any room while still making it look natural. No flashy looks here.

The image shown here was taken in the nursery. Even though there is a beautiful window in the room, it was still too dark due to the gloomy rainy day. I brought in a strobe and an umbrella and voila - beautiful natural looking light to highlight this family and their beautiful nursery that they spent so much time and love decorating for their baby boy.
