I love newborn portraits of babies of all ages. This little man was six weeks old when I photographed him. Such a delight!
We did a lifestyle session at his family’s home in Oconee County so that we could get images in the baby’s nursery and the parents room. Two areas that they spend a lot of time in and mom spent a lot of time decorating and dreaming about. The image shown here was taken in this Southern man’s nursery on the bed. The lighting was perfecting there and the crisp white linens kept the focus for this particular image on the most important subject – the baby!
I love that his mom decided to dress him in this classic outfit that will surely become a favorite heirloom. I can just imagine his own children wearing it for their own newborn portraits one day! We also photographed him in an adorable swaddle with a blue gingham bow as well as a simple white swaddle as well. Cannot wait to share those images as well. You can actually see them now on my Instagram account. Coordinated perfectly with the pillows and decorations of both rooms as well as the family’s outfits. Great example of what to wear for your newborn portraits.
It was such an honor to photograph these newborn portraits of this little man as I have been documenting this family since big brother was around six months old. So neat watching families grow and be welcomed into their lives during such major milestones. Cannot wait to see this little guy grow up! Cannot get over all of his beautiful hair, those big eyes, his perfectly round fact, those sweet lips, the dimpled knuckles and the rubber band look around his wrists. All baby and pure sweetness. Not a surprise at all with the looks of his parents and brother. They all have gorgeous features. I actually am really excited to see what color his eyes end up turning into in the next few months. Right now they are looking blue, but as we all know, that can change over time in that first year.
