Pure Newborn Photography in Oconee County, GA

This family’s pure newborn photography session was such a delight! Big sister was so proud and loved cuddling and checking out her baby sister. No drama here with the entrance of the sibling, which sometimes can be a hard transition for some little ones. Mom did an excellent job with everyone’s outfits and I love that she used some family heirloom pieces to add to the sentimental value of the final images. Perfection!

Love the purity of newborn sessions like this. The focus goes right to the infant and the connections between family members. This little lady was about a month old when I photographed her. Love that we were able to get some wide awake images even though she was a solid sound sleeper. Can you get over how blue her eyes are already?! I adore those full lips, that perfect round face and her beautiful creamy skintone. She really is a dream baby!

There’s a reason I plan my sessions for the edges of the day. Right before sunrise and just before sunset, the sun sits low on the horizon, wrapping everything in soft, golden light. It’s flattering, gentle on skin tones, and creates that dreamy glow you simply can’t replicate at noon. The wind calms, the beach feels peaceful, and the magic naturally unfolds.

This sweet mother-daughter moment was captured on Jekyll Island at Driftwood Beach just as the sun was rising — when the sky turns pastel and the reflections shimmer along the shoreline.

When you trust the light, you get images that feel timeless, effortless, and full of heart.
