Pregnancy Photo Shoot at Botanical Gardens

Botanical Gardens made for a beautiful backdrop for this mom-to-be’s pregnancy photo shoot last night. It was one of the first really hot days of summer, but with all the rain and cooler weather we’ve had, there was plenty of rich greens and pretty flowers showing off their beauty. It made bearing the heat worth it! In a couple of months, this beautiful lady will be welcoming her first child into the world. Such a special time and a great reason for maternity portraits. Botanical Gardens is a favorite destination for this couple, which made it even more fitting of a portrait location. As we walked along the pathways, they reminisced about past visits and talked about the beauty around us. I’m super excited for this couple as I know they will make fantastic parents in the very near future! Congrats!!!

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
