I was commissioned for these horse portraits for a dear family in Good Hope, GA not long ago. The finished photographic artwork were gifted to my client’s father for Christmas. What a wonderful gift! Our furry companions are such a big part of our families. Often times our pets are/were our first children. It is why I love it when people decide to include their four legged friends into their portrait sessions or do portrait sessions making them the star of the show! They deserve to grace our walls along with the rest of the family photos.
These two horses were chosen for sentimental reasons, but as you can tell, they are quite stunning and gentle creatures as well. I could not get over the mane on the black stallion. Absolutely gorgeous and I know a lot of work for his groomers. Worth the effort for sure! Both beauties were sweet and so calm. Very well behaved. They didn’t seem to mind my camera at all. A bit curious at times, which was understandable. I showed them their images on the back of my camera and allowed them the sniff my gear. After that, I think they were more interested in eating, most honestly. Fine with me. I just think horses are divine! Don’t you agree?!
