Founders Garden Family Photoshoot In The Fall

This is the second time I had the honor of photographing this sweet family for their family photoshoot in the fall. This time we headed to Founders Garden on UGA’s campus to give them a different feel from the year before. Mom wanted a manicured garden, but we needed a location that is handicap accessible and didn’t have a lot of people. Founders Garden fit all of our needs – especially since we picked a day where I knew we would have easy parking and no crowds.

Little brother absolutely adores his big sister and I think the feeling is quite mutual. I can just feel the bond between these two and the entire family through their portraits. Delight to witness in person too. Such an ease about them as well as fun and love.

Mom always does such a great job with dressing her family for their family photoshoot. Love the cream, beige, white and pale blue color scheme. Works out great for the early fall season. Classic and refined for this beautiful manicured garden. I always recommend coordinating your wardrobe to your surroundings and with your home decor. Great example of what to wear for your upcoming early autumn family photoshoot.

We finished the session with portraits of mom and dad alone. I love it when we are able to capture the love between parents during a family photoshoot. Having professional photos with each other is something to be cherished – not only for you, but for your children as well.

Photography Content Creation For Tenjam

Such an honor to be commissioned for photography content creation for Tenjam. They offer pool furniture for both commercial and personal pools. We started photographing the Laylo chaise lounger at one of the main pools at Lake Oconee.

We then switched things out to photograph the Freelo pool chairs. Both the chaise loungers and chairs are part of Tenjam’s splash series.

To utilize the elevated part of the pool, we switched back to the chaise loungers to give Tenjam for variety and options for their marketing  and sales purposes.

After lunch, we moved to an Airbnb home with a pool on Lake Oconee. Again, we started with the pool chairs and then moved on to the chaise loungers.

We ended with some images showing how to set up the loungers in the pool. Tenjam’s branding involves bright and colorful images that are all shot in full sun. We matched that look at the lake to work seamlessly with the other images on their site. Models were great to work with and the owner and founder of Tenjam was a pleasure throughout the process.

Content Creation Photography For Bird & Brass

I had the great opportunity to do some content creation photography for the local store, Bird & Brass. This Watkinsville, GA artist, Erika Pfluke, is a lover of birds and nature. Her entire store reflects that. She hand paints bibles for men and women showcasing her talent and passions. She needed some branding images of her work for a venture with a bible company, which is where I came in.

We decided to do her content creation photography session in her yard so that she did not have to haul her art too far and to be in a place that in comfortable to her. The outdoor session is also fitting for her artwork of flowers and birds. Nothing like painting nature in nature.

I had put together a storyboard for her along with a list of suggested items that would be perfect for her branding images – from wardrobe, paints, furniture, paint on apron, to accessories.

After her session, I brought some bibles and some personal items and things from her store to photograph the bibles in more detail. These flat lays highlight not only her artwork, but her brand as a whole.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
