I am not even sure how to begin this blog post today as the news is still a bit new to me, but here goes…. Yvonne Niemann Photography is moving to Athens, GA at the end of the summer. St. Louis has been home to my family for 16 years and we have built a wonderful life here. I clearly remember making the drive to the gateway city on New Year’s Day in 1998 to move my husband into his apartment when he first graduated from college at Kansas State University. I followed him here that very summer when we got married. It was a scary thing for us, but exciting and a world full of possibilities. Oddly, the same feelings arise in me now as we move our family to Georgia for my husband’s job. It will be difficult leaving behind this great city where we started our careers, bought our first home, gave birth to our daughter and all the memories that we created along the way. We never had family here in St. Louis, but we gained an extended family within our friends, my clients, Michael’s co-workers and my past video c0-workers. It has been a wonderful journey full of happy times, but it is now time to move on and start the next chapter of our lives. I am once again excited to explore a new city and it’s countryside that I will soon call home! The possibilities seem endless and I can’t wait to see what’s to come for us in Athens, GA.
I would like to thank all my dear clients who have supported Yvonne Niemann Photography over the years. It has truly been an honor creating beautiful heirloom photography for your families and it is something I have never taken for granted. You have welcomed me into your lives during monumental and sometimes sacred times. I feel so lucky to have each of you enter my life and become part of my family. I will miss all of you and witnessing your families grow in person and through my camera. Thank goodness for Instagram and Facebook where I can still stay connected. I will still be taking on new photography sessions through June and July in St. Louis, but there is very limited availability.
