Cherry Tree Blossom Motherhood Portrait In Athens, GA

Spring sessions are in full swing! LOVE the cherry blossoms right now. Perfect for this family’s portrait session yesterday morning. Wonderful way to celebrate this little man’s six month milestone with his parents. Magical backdrop for a magical family!

This young man is so laid back. Such an angel baby! At his portrait session yesterday, he just went with the flow and took in the scenery and cuddled with his family. Super sweet. We got some of the important milestone images of him sitting assisted and some tummy time photos. We then got lots of images of him with his parents that showcased the fun and love they have for each other. Such special bonds already formed. Cannot wait to see him grow and blossom. He is very loved and has the perfect parents to guide him through life. Such an honor photographing his six month milestone with his parents.

I have to mention how perfect the wardrobe selection was for this family’s Spring portraits among the cherry tree blossoms. The soft pastel colors were so fitting and such a classic choice. The blue seersucker outfit showed off this little man’s blue eyes and his crisp cotton long sleeve onesie with the Peter Pan collar was a nice addition on a cooler morning. Mom’s cream sweater and light beige suede skirt complimented the background and her son’s outfit. You can’t see dad’s outfit here, but he coordinated perfectly with his blue and white checkered button down shirt, tweed jacket and jeans. Will share more of this family’s portraits in the near future. Great example of what to wear for Spring portraits.

This location will be great for sessions for only a few more days. Another location with cherry blossoms will be ready within the next couple of weeks. As things are warming up, nature is coming alive. You can see hints of it with grass greening up, tiny buds on trees and certain flowers showing off their beauty already. That also means that cherry blossoms will be flowering in the near future too!

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.
