Not sure where to do your next headshots? I got you covered! For this particular professional`s headshots, we needed to match the company`s other headshots on their website. She needed something urban, but clean and with pretty natural elements. I knew instantly where we could find all of those items. The greenery, iron fence and pillars gave us a nice variety for her final images. I am always looking for places where the lighting is great, there aren’t a ton of people and we can get a lot of images in a short amount of time. This particular street downtown always does the trick!

This Mother`s Day hits different. The girl who made me a mom is graduating and leaving our nest in a very short time. I swear, it seems like I just found out I was pregnant with her and now she is an adult and about to venture out on her own.
Such mixed feelings. I am so proud of her. This is what we have raised her to be able to do - be an independent human who can make her own dreams come true. But at the same time, I will miss our daily talks, TikTok highlights of the day, seeing her beautiful smiling face every day, hearing her voice and music coming from her room.
She is more than I could ever have hoped for in a daughter. I really lucked out!!!! I am forever thankful for her entering my life.
Cannot wait to see what life has in store for her. I know there are great things coming her way. Well deserved. Super excited that she gets to live out HER dreams and that I get to witness it all.
She will always be my baby girl and I will always be here for her. There is nothing we cannot get through together.

A common question I get regarding heirloom sessions is what is the best age for these type of portraits.
Heirloom photography is a classic way to document your child between the ages of 1-10. Many families choose a specific age depending on when they had their own portraits done as a child or when they feel is most fitting to start the tradition themselves.
The most popular age I see clients for their heirloom photography session is between three and four years old. This is the age range where the child can take some direction and is attentive. They still have those precious filled out faces and adorable child features that just don’t last. I have quite a few parents bring their one year old in for this timeless portraits as well.
Many families choose to do a few sessions at various ages to show the growth of their child and put together a composite photographic wall art piece.
