It is time for Autumn outside family photos in Athens, GA! Plenty of flowers are around and will stick around through October, so you still have time to get pretty blossoms into your portraits if that is what you are envisioning.

Autumn outside family photos at Athens Botanical Gardens

We did this family’s portrait session at the Athens, GA Botanical Gardens in the morning. Timing was important as it not only was when baby boy was in his best mood of the day, but dad could join in before he headed off to work and the older kiddos had to be at school. Wins all the way around!

The very last Autumn outside family photos we did were in the parking lot where their dog could be included in a few images. Simplicity session worked out wonderful for this family since toddlers have short attention spans and fit their busy schedule.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
